This Coronavirus Crisis has been the most unusual thing I have faced in more than 40 years of ministry. But the Bible says, “Wait on the Lord!” We have done that, and God is delivering us from this pandemic.
First Baptist Church of Cape Coral will re-open for worship Saturday, May 30, at 6:00 PM, and Sunday, May 31, at 10:00 AM. I preach the same sermon in both services each weekend. We will continue to Live Stream on this website Sundays at 10:00 AM every week.
We have had a crisis renewal team cleaning and sanitizing the building. We will practice social distancing. We have hand sanitizers available. For the time being we will not have our fellowship hand-shake moment in worship. Rather than pass by hand, the church bulletin (worship guide) will be available for each individual to pick up. Our offering trays will be available at each door as you enter or exit the sanctuary.
We will not begin children’s meetings immediately, as children cannot practice social distancing. We will try to put a weekly lesson or service online for the children. Pastor Jonathan is planning a virtual Vacation Bible School and basketball camp for this summer.
It will be great to see everyone! We have missed each other!
By the way, we are also praying for our nation during this time of riots and crisis. Coronavirus is not the only crisis we face. And we have other people in tremendous need of prayer for various reasons. God says, “Call upon Me, and I will show you great and mighty things that you do not know!”
