The Super Bowl has become kind of an iconic event in American culture. It seems like the entire world pauses to watch a football game. It is certainly an exciting event.
For our Super Bowl weekend we are joining in the national festivities here at First Baptist Cape Coral. I am inviting everyone to wear football clothes — a sweather, shirt, jacket, etc., from their favorite team. I will be sharing the Christian testimony of Carolina Panthers’ running back Jonathan Stewart in my message from the life of Elijah. After our Saturday evening service we will have a “finger food” fellowship in the main lobby. And after our Sunday morning service we will have our annual “Chili CookOff” outside under the pavilion.
We look forward to football, food & fun. But above all we look forward to focusing on the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
