Resurrection Sunday!

It is a strange Easter Sunday when we cannot hold our Easter Sunrise service and then worship together Sunday morning in our church sanctuary. But God has a purpose in allowing us to face this Coronavirus Crisis. After all, the church is not the building — it is the people. And we can still worship the risen Lord Jesus Christ whether or not we come together in one meeting.

Here at First Baptist Church of Cape Coral, we will be Live Streaming from this website. Go to Media, and then to Live Streaming for our service Easter Sunday morning at 10:00 AM. I will be preaching from the resurrection account in the Bible on, “Good News from a Graveyard!” Tim Gerstner will lead our worship. Even though our sanctuary will have about 8 or 9 people on our team bringing you the Live Streaming — we will have hundreds of viewers with us in spirit! BTW, while most of our viewers are here in Florida, we literally have a few from around the nation and the world — as far away as England and India!

Let’s continue to pray for our church, our community, our state, our nation, and our President — as well as our friends around the world. God will lead us through this Coronavirus Crisis. Remember the words of the angel, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here! For He is risen!” We will rise from this Coronavirus Crisis to even greater days ahead to serve our risen Lord!
