Opening Church

We are still waiting on the governor of Florida to give us the go-ahead on re-opening our churches. Meanwhile, we are getting everything ready to worship in a sanitized atmosphere and to practice social distancing — at least for the time being. We will keep you posted as soon as we know anything. We are also receiving instructions on what steps to take from our Florida Baptist state leaders.

I am eager to get back to worship. I believe it can be done safely. As always, we will still be “live streaming” our worship services on our website for anyone who feels that they are at risk due to age, underlying medical conditions, etc.

We are praying for our church, our community, our state, our nation and our many friends overseas. I heard from one of my students in India who lives in Myanmar. He said the churches are shut down there as well, and that coronavirus is reaching his country. Likewise, I have heard from our friend, Abraham Thomas, in India. They are facing the same situation we are facing. And they are praying for us as well!

God’s Word tells us, “Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.”
