Hope Is Coming

We see a light at the end of the tunnel. We are waiting on the President and our Governor to give us the go-ahead to re-open worship services – perhaps as early as the first weekend of May. We will be taking steps at the church not only to sanitize but to put more chairs out – so that we can maintain social distancing for the time being. For the same reason, the Florida Baptist Convention is recommending multiple services, so we will most likely open both Saturday evening & Sunday morning worship – to give people space – when the Governor gives us the go ahead.

Meanwhile, this Sunday, April 19, we will be live streaming worship at 10:00 AM from the sanctuary on our church website. Go to www.firstbaptistcapecoral.com, then to Media, then to Live Streaming. After the sermon we will be observing the Lord’s Supper together over the Live Stream. You can use any juice or drink or bread or cracker at home. It is symbolic. If you want, you can also pick up a pre-packaged communion kit for each member of your family here at the church.

For Wednesday night interactive prayer meetings at 6:30 on Zoom, you will need a new password from Kathy Vaughn each week. That is Zoom’s requirement for security.

As always, if you have any needs or problems, Kathy is a certified counselor, and Pastor Jonathan & I are always available for you. We also have food available here at the church. BTW, Kathy will be setting up a “Crisis Team” to sanitize the church anew & afresh.

And thank you again for sending in your tithes & offerings. I am pleased & a little surprised by how well our offerings are going. We need your help. You can give online on our church website at www.firstbaptistcapecoral.com, or by mail, by texting, or drop by the office. Thank you!

As Christians, we should seek to lead our nation back to prosperity – in regard to health and economy by following God’s Word. God said to Joshua, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” God bless you.
