Unbelievable — the year 2016 is here! Wow, how time flies!
We thank God for what He is doing here at First Baptist Church of Cape Coral. We look forward to a new year — to see what He will do in us and through us in the year 2016.
Statistics do not necessarily define a ministry, but it is still good to see our church increase in 2015 in all measurable categories. Our weekly worship attendance increased by 10% in 2015 — the third straight year we have had a 10%-plus increase. That is very unusual. We all talk about church growth, but to see double-digit growth for three consecutive years is not something to be taken for granted! We thank the Lord and give Him the glory!
We do not have our giving statistics for 2015 finalized yet. However, it is always good to compare a month with the same month of the previous year. That way we get an accurate seasonal comparison. Our giving for the month of December 2015 was up by 45% over December of 2014. Incredible! Our General Fund giving was up by 21%, and our “Carry the Light” Building Fund giving was up by an unbelievable 64% over December of one year ago! Again, we thank the Lord! He is blessing First Baptist Cape Coral through the faithfulness of His people.
We successfully launched Faith Promise missions giving in 2015. And best of all were the number of people who came to faith in Christ through the witness and outreach of our church in 2015. To God be the glory!
