Going Forward

What an interesting Easter! It was the first time in more than 40 years that First Baptist Church of Cape Coral was unable to host the annual Easter Sunrise service on the river at the Jaycee Park. And of course, while I preached on the resurrection Sunday, it was to an empty sanctuary by Live Streaming over the internet from this website. Until the Coronavirus Crisis is over, we will continue to Live Stream on Sundays at 10 AM. Also, we are doing a Zoom interactive prayer meeting Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM. If you want to be a part of that, make sure Kathy Vaughn has your email address, so she can invite you to the meeting with proper instructions. I would also advise downloading the Zoom app. It makes it easy.

We are gearing up for re-opening — just as soon as the government gives us the go-ahead. We will follow the guidelines to maintain safety for everyone. We are sanitizing everything at the church including the sanctuary, lobby, nursery, rest rooms, etc.

We will be observing the Lord’s Supper online Live Streaming this Sunday, April 19. You can use any kind of juice, bread or cracker at home — it is all symbolic. But you can also stop by the church this week and pick up a pre-packaged communion juice cup & wafer.

We are praying for everyone — for our church family, our community, our state, our nation, our President, and for our many friends overseas! God’s Word says, “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us!” (Ephesians 3:20)
